fresh faces: dance portraits

Over the winter break I photographed another dance performance. This time at the beautiful Lake Oswego high school. Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot.

Beautiful young ladies! You are an awesome portrait photographer. I love the little one pinching her own cheeks and the jumper, but those high-kickers take the cake! Perfect capture.

Thanks Susan! I was amazed at how in sync the high kicking girls were. These shoots are so much fun to do.

I've been lousy at keeping up with blogging and even reading blogs lately. Seems there's not enough hours in a day.

I hope you and your family have a healthy, happy 2011.

Know what you mean about hours in the day! Great photos! How you capture those jumps in midair is mysterious and awe inspiring to me!

Every time I have tried to take photos at one of our dance events, all my photos come out a blur. (Bet I need a faster shutter speed and hence, a better than point and shoot camera.)

Wow! I am really impressed. I knew you were a great photographer, but I didn't know you did it professionally. Wow!

Sharon, The midair jump photos are the most fun for the kids. For some reason jumping really loosens them up. I set up a mini photo studio in the lobby so I can control the environment.

well done! well done!! Nothing like an exuberant start to the year. Love all of that youthful energy, they have so much fun in the costumes too. Great moments to capture!
