the jacket project

3611CC1-140

I love jackets!

We live in Oregon where the weather is unpredictable. Jackets are necessary at least ten months of the year.

It’s taken awhile for me to admit this, but I may have a jacket obsession. I’m still not totally convinced that this is a problem, but my husband seems to think it is.

Since I needed to try out my new camera, and to prove my husband wrong about my possession of too many jackets, I decided to photograph the jackets I currently have in my closet.

This is the first of several posts highlighting my jacket collection.

Above: Eddie Bauer down filled jacket with faux fur trim. An essential jacket on cold, winter days.

You say potato, I say po-tah-to.
You say jacket, I say coat!

That's a beauty, Cindy. I have a jacket very similar to yours, only it's LL Bean. Can't wait to see the rest. One can't have too many jackets, well, unless you live in Key West. :)

Fellow Oregonian here and I love the jacket. I am more obsessed with containers than coats, but I must say, as an oregonian, I have probably a dozen jackets of different weight, length, color, and design. So I get it!

Susan, thanks for following along on my jacket adventure. This could go on for awhile...

Hi Konnie, Thanks for your visit. I think I may have you beat (not that it's a contest). Stick around. I'll post every day until I run out of jackets.

Definitely - MUST HAVE JACKETS!!
What do husbands know of this?
I applaud your selection so far.

My sister from SF used to call her down jacket her "going to Portland coat", and whether one is traveling to, or living in, this one is a basic!

jazgal, thanks for your support. I agree, this jacket is a Portland basic. I can't believe it took me so long to purchase one.

I live in central Oregon where this particular jacket (I've been looking at your entire jacket project) looks like my casual, dressy, sporty, everyday attire. Ho hum, you are way more styling than I. :)
